You cock, the kid from the Neverending story’s name was Atreyu and the horse did have a name. It was Artex. How can you not remember him screaming his name in the swamp? That was the saddest thing. Except for maybe the Rock Biter’s hands that just weren’t strong enough.

They’re gonna probably remake The Neverending Story in some crappy CGI studio somewhere and my soul is going to die a little.

I would make a fantasy film so hard.

If you give me an address I will give you a hoolahoop.

There were already a couple of Neverending Story sequels, and they were, to my very young memory, surprisingly pretty good.

I liked the sequels. Good plot and good production value. A few of my friends always whined that “you can never compete with the original” and crap like that, but I think they just didn’t understand that it was a sequel. It’s not supposed to be the same, just similar and just as good.

I have the theme song to “Never Ending Story” on my iPod. I never really forgave Limahl for breaking up Kajagoogoo, but the good news is, that band is back together and touring again.

The sequals were good I think, though I barely remember them. I just remember Bastion climbing a big mountain or something and making wishes.

I want a bumper sticker that says “My other ride is a luck dragon”.

Hmm. Other 80’s style fantasy movies with Puppets, besides Labrynth and Neverending story?

Dark Crystal
Return to Oz (which is quite excellent)
No puppets, but Ladyhawke was a popular one

Return To Oz is one of my favorite films. It’s great.

Indeed, I would argue it is far superior to the more popular “Wizard of Oz.”

I watched Dark Crystal as a child, and then when I was introduced to Labyrinth and Legend I watched it again and ruined it.

I vaguely remember Return to Oz.

I do not remember Ladyhawke at all… so, gotta look that one up.

All I remember is Dark Crystal scaring the shit of a 4-year-old me.

Dark Crystal era muppets all had hella acne if I remember correctly. Maybe that was me.

I don’t remember acne, but huge overbites? Yes!

I saw Dark Crystal because my boyfriend added it to our netflix que. It was surprisingly good. The use of puppetry was amazing. With the
‘over-use’ of cgi in movies now puppetry is becoming a lost art form.
