RandomSalad.com is, as of this moment, a geek culture web-o-zine of sorts and the brand-newest site on all the Internet.

It’s also more than likely broken in a few places. It’s really not easy to code a site you can’t see. Sure, I had a sandbox to test things out in, but most of my tireless work here has been based entirely on assumption. Hilarity may or may not ensue.

There are a few things you can do besides reading and commenting on this post. Many more things will be arriving within the week, and still more by the end of the month. It’s actually kind of neat how much crap I’ve pooped / convinced others to poop on this server.

For now, try these:

-Random Video: mostly Gen and I laughing at our farts right now.

-Pixel Pilgrim: video reviews of retro games.

-Featured Articles: longer than blog entries, and normally making much less sense.

-Bloggity Blog: mostly Gen and I laughing at our farts right now.

Things to look forward to in June:

-Random Radio: our very own podcast, hosted by myself and the lovely Kimberly.

-Gen Does Things: an educational television programme.

-Validation Gallery: boobs boobs boobs boobs boobs

-Babble Board: a place to talk about nothing at all.

Irregular updating of the Homescreen begins tomorrow. If you have a look at the sidebar over there on the right you’ll find a list of topics, all of which are currently empty but we aim to fill them up rather quickly. It’s all kind of nerdy shit, but we’ll say “fuck” a lot to balance things out.

Now go on — explore the site, post some comments, and bookmark the fuck out of this fuck.

Random Salad is full of things much less interesting than this. Whether you've come to this page by a link or by voodoo sex magic, pay a visit to the homescreen before you go.

My inspiration in designing this page was “make the blog version of random salad wider and with more content.”

I used the comments template I wrote for a version in 2006.

Basically everything here comes from some past version of the site. But now they’re all mashed together and capable of so much more!

I like that the “link” to each comment goes to a broken wayback machine archive from 2006 of the template I ripped off from myself. I plan on leaving it that way.
